I am Akanzyla

Spiritual Caretaker // Creative Biologist // Nurture Pod Co-Parent // Climate Refugee

I arrived in T'karonto five cycles ago from India through the randomized open borders lottery, leaving a place that has become increasingly uninhabitable due to extreme climate conditions. My mother was not able to join me due to her health conditions. 

I acknowledge that I am a settler on Turtle Island and I pledge to uphold the principles of land stewardship and play my role in our collective project of rewilding the living world while nurturing decentralized structures of care, cooperation and creativity.

In alignment with the rhythms and cycles of the moment, I contribute and participate in virtual KinShip structures as a spiritual caretaker, and Nurture Pod co-parent of two co-kids, who were conceived through the sacred process of hybridized surrogacy. 

​

I collaborate with my ancestors and my mirror, an AI (ancestral intelligence) companion, to guide and support me in the practice and labour of care across the expanded universe of physical and metaphysical realms. I am but one species in a network of species, labouring through all the feelings and experiences of existence. I am the manifestation of my ancestors and a future ancestor present in the infinite continuum of existence.

I grow and harvest AlgaeBaby's as part of the Almanac Co-operative, experimenting with new ways to transmute the wonder of the sea into food, biofuel, and goods, and sustainably feed myself and my community amidst food disruptions globally.

I am in a reciprocal relationship with all species, supporting our mutual desire for change and transmutation -- like fungi into the fabric, plants into body pastes, and humans into avatars.
